ECE Supervisor Position
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator Supervisor to join our leadership team at Bayview Community Preschool. Our Preschool has a strong philosophy of learning through play, project-based learning, and connecting to nature. We offer a registered preschool program at Bayview Elementary School and an outdoor nature program at Jericho Beach park.

Hours
30 - 35 hours per week
Salary
$24 - $27 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) plus $4.00 BC Government Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement.

Required Qualifications*
A current ECE Certificate *
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C Certificate * 
- Current BC Criminal Record Check * 
- Wilderness or Forest Schools training (Desired) 
- Leadership and Management for Childcare (Desired) 
Experience
Ideal candidate has +4 year experience managing and/or leading a team in a licensed preschool or childcare.
The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates
- A passion for working with children and opening up their natural tendency to connect and play both inside and outdoors. 
- An ability to inspire, motivate, strengthen and work collaboratively with other educators and within a leadership team. 
- The ability to understand the needs of key stakeholders ranging from the Board of Directors, Parents, Administration/HR/Payroll, and licensing agencies. 
- An ability to provide a rich, exciting and nurturing educational program that caters to children’s interests, learning, and development. 
- Possesses a child-led approach to learning. 
- Is able to assist the program director with all aspects of day to day running of the preschool. 
- Is able to establish and maintain a good rapport with the preschool’s licensing officer. 
- A working knowledge and understanding of the BC Child Care Licensing Regulations rules and requirements. 
- Ability to implement concepts and principles from the BC Early Learning Framework in an informed manner. 
- Understands how to guide children’s behaviour in accordance with Vancouver Coastal Health’s guidance documentation. 
- Reliable and dependable, demonstrating exemplary time-management, self-management, written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and is compassionate. 
- An ability to form trusting, respectful relationships with children, families, and teachers.
