Preschool Program
Circle Time
We offer child led preschool program is based on a curriculum designed to spark the child’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder. We encourage children to take charge of their ideas and support them in bringing these ideas to fruition.
Children start each day with movement and mindfulness; then we enjoy a story, share songs and experiences during circle time before beginning our learning and playing activities.
Play-based Program
Our purposeful play-based program is centred around inspiring children to explore the world around them and make meaningful connections.
We celebrate community and family celebrations enthusiastically, for example, during lunar new year we learned about the Chinese Zodiac and created a lion from loose parts which the children then used to perform a collaborative dragon dance to bring good luck.
Each day we spend time outdoors in nature, investigating and exploring what the different seasons have to offer.
Dedicated Teachers
Our teachers are full of dedication, love, warmth and knowledge which lends itself to a nurturing, supportive and inclusive learning environment. We have a high teacher to child ratio, ensuring each child is seen, heard and given time to develop skills at their own pace. Our teachers value and respond to children’s ideas, and extend on learning through open ended questions, meaningful interactions and encouraging feedback
Some activities we do on any given day include:
Open ended and exploratory art
Guided art
Imagination station - where children are free to design their own creation and then build it using loose parts
Fun science experiments
Cooking and baking
A variety of natural toys that encourage collaborative play like wooden train sets and wooden blocks; magnet builders, lego bricks and gears
Books, games and puzzles
Real life corner - which can be anything from a restaurant one week to a hair salon the next - this is where our children get creative and engage in creative play.

Combined Bayview Community Preschool
and Bayview Nature Program
We also offer an option to enrol in a combination of the (Indoor) Bayview Community Preschool and our the unlicensed Bayview Nature Program. We recommend children attend a combination of Bayview Community Preschool and Bayview Nature Program as our highly skilled teachers work in both, providing continuity which is so important for young children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
We have also noticed as this year progresses many of our current families are requesting that their child attend both programs and we have limited spaces to offer, so to avoid disappointment we recommend that you enrol your child in a combined option at the start. Our Enrolment Form gives more details on the options available.
