26. Celebrations

The centre does not have any religious affiliations, but we do celebrate holidays that are culturally relevant for the families in our care. We would like to celebrate other holidays that may be important to your child. If your family celebrates holidays that are an important part of your culture, we would love to incorporate it into your child’s program. We believe in providing a multicultural environment in which children can learn from each other. When you enrol your child, please notify the educator about important days in your child’s life. Please let us know if you do not wish your child to participate in certain celebrations throughout the year, we will do our best to inform you of any plans and based on that information you can choose for your child to attend the program. 

Children’s Birthdays 

If you would like to bring a child-friendly and appropriate treat, then we ask that you bring enough for the whole class. Due to food allergies, we encourage you to include a non-foot treat like crayons, stickers, stamps, etc. We celebrate each child’s birthday by singing Happy Birthday at Circle Time.
