5. Parent-Teacher Communication

On-going communication between teachers and parents throughout the year is beneficial for everyone. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of your child’s time here at Bayview with our staff. This can be done through the Procare app, by e-mail or in-person at drop-off or pick-up. For a lengthier discussion, educators are available, by prior arrangement, to address any questions, concerns, or other aspects of your child’s care. 

We also strive to keep you up-to-date on preschool events through our monthly newsletters, a calendar of events for the school year and through announcements over Procare or e-mail.

Procare

You will need to download the ProCare app for the 2023/2024 school year. Through this app, we will communicate about your child(ren)’s learning, any incidents that occur, and day to day activities. You will also be able to update your authorized contacts, mark your child as absent, and download your tax forms.  

Newsletters 

We will keep you updated with a monthly newsletter from info@bayviewpreschool.ca. Please add us to your safe sender list. The newsletter will include an overview of our learning themes, important dates, reminders, and field trips. Review past newsletters on our website.  

Babysitting/Nannying Policy

To maintain professional boundaries and ensure the highest quality of care, our educators are not available for child-minding (Babysitting, nannying etc.) services outside of preschool hours for children currently enrolled at Bayview Community Preschool and Nature Program.
