9. Withdraw & Cancellation Policy

Withdrawal Request

To withdraw before the September start, notice must be given by June 1, 2023. Once Preschool has started, we require one (1) month’s notice in writing if you need to withdraw your child. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Termination of Services – Bayview Request

Steps to be taken prior to the termination of services for a child.

Non-compliance to policies or procedures for the preschool

  1. Teachers will discuss the problem area with the family

    1. Should the parents continue to not comply with the policies or procedures, a meeting will be set up with the teachers, parent(s), and Program Director to address and resolve the problem area.

    2. Continuation of non-compliance of policies or procedures will result in the withdrawal of the child from the preschool.

  2. Late or non - payment for service via the Payment Agreement

    1.  The parents will be contacted by the Program Director.

    2. A letter will be sent to the parents indicating that in the event of another late or non-payment of the account, the child will automatically be removed from the class list and the space will be filled with a child on the waitlist.

  3. Failure to work with educators to meet the needs of one’s child.

    1. We will follow Steps 1 and 2 for non-compliance to policies and procedures (as outlined above).

    2. In the event that steps 1 and 2 are not satisfactory and it is determined between the preschool Administration Team that the child is at risk, the Ministry of Child and Family Development will be made.

  4. Philosophical Differences

    1. Occasionally, the needs and opinions of a family do not fit with the principles, policies and procedures of Bayview. The Program Director will try to promote discussion to come to some agreeable terms with the family. If this is not possible, it is in the best interests of the family to enroll the child in a program that is more in line with their needs and beliefs. Bayview reserves the right to ask the family to find a more suitable arrangement.
